Privacy Policy

Who we are

STEM Crew Magazine is a free digital publication at stemcrewmagazine.com, created for parents, educators, and STEM enthusiasts. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or use the site, and how it's handled.

What we collect and why

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us — for example:

Subscribing to the magazine: your name and email address, so we can send you new issues and updates.

Joining the print interest list: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and stated quantity interest, so we can notify you when print copies are available.

Contacting us to advertise, contribute an article, or request to be featured: whatever contact details you provide in that inquiry.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not knowingly collect information through the site from anyone under 13.

How we use GoHighLevel

Our subscribe and print-interest forms run on GoHighLevel, a customer relationship management (CRM) platform. When you submit a form, GoHighLevel stores your submitted information on our behalf so we can send you the magazine, respond to your interest, and keep our contact list organized. GoHighLevel may also use basic functional cookies to make its forms work correctly. You can read GoHighLevel's own privacy practices at gohighlevel.com/privacy-policy.

We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising technology on the site.

Cookies

Because the site is ad-free, we don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookies present are the functional ones set by GoHighLevel when you interact with a form, to help that form work properly (for example, preventing duplicate submissions). These cookies don't build an advertising profile of you.

Embedded and linked content

Issues of STEM Crew Magazine are hosted and read on Flipsnack, and we link out to it from our site rather than collecting reading data ourselves — Flipsnack's own privacy practices apply once you're on their platform. We also link to our social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube); visiting those platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies, not ours.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers — we don't have any. Your information is shared only with GoHighLevel, as the platform that stores and manages our subscriber and print-interest lists on our behalf, and is used only for the purpose you provided it (sending you the magazine, notifying you about print, or responding to your inquiry).

How long we keep your data

We retain subscriber and print-interest information for as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask us to remove it. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we'll remove your information from our active list, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal or administrative reasons.

Children's privacy

STEM Crew Magazine is written for parents, educators, and STEM professionals, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the email below and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can, at any time, ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you, if any

Correct any information that's inaccurate

Delete your personal information from our lists

Unsubscribe from future emails (every email we send includes an unsubscribe link)

To make any of these requests, email us at [email protected].

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on GoHighLevel's platform-level security for stored form data. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as STEM Crew Magazine grows — for example, if we add analytics, advertising, or new ways to collect information in the future. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and any material changes affecting how we use previously collected data will be communicated to subscribers.
